In the 24 hours to the morning of 4 August, Russian guided-bomb, missile, drone and artillery strikes hit front-line, southern and eastern regions of Ukraine, killing at least 15 people and injuring at least 94 across eight regions. Overnight, six Russian guided bombs hit the private-housing sector of the Kovpakivskyi district of Sumy, killing two girls aged 5 and 10, recovered from under the rubble of their home, and a 75-year-old woman; across Sumy Oblast three people were killed and ten injured. Around midday on 3 August a drone strike on a filling station near Kryvyi Rih killed three people — a State Emergency Service rescuer, his 8-year-old son and a woman working at the station — part of a day in which four people were killed and 17 injured across Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. A night drone strike on Mykolaiv killed an 89-year-old woman and injured seven, among them two girls aged 2 and 12, and a missile strike on a transport-infrastructure site in Odesa Oblast injured at least 13. In Zaporizhzhia Oblast two people were killed and 11 injured; in Kherson Oblast two were killed and 18 injured over the day, with three more wounded in morning drone strikes on the city on 4 August; in Kharkiv Oblast one person was killed and seven injured; and in Donetsk Oblast two were killed and eight injured. The Air Force said Russia launched one ballistic missile and 136 strike drones overnight and that air defence downed or suppressed 117 of the drones.

Overnight into 4 August the Ukrainian Air Force said Russia attacked with one Iskander-M ballistic missile, launched from Russia's Rostov region, and 136 strike drones — Shahed types, including jet-powered variants, along with Gerbera, Italmas and 'Parody' decoy drones — launched from Oryol and Millerovo in Russia and from occupied Donetsk, Chauda and Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea. As of 08:00 air defence had shot down or suppressed 117 of the drones; the missile and 14 strike drones were recorded hitting 14 locations, with debris falling at three more. The figures are preliminary — the Air Force said the attack was still under way, with hostile drones still in Ukrainian airspace, when the post was published.
Verified by the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission (OHCHR): in June 2026 alone, at least 293 civilians were killed and 1,990 injured in Ukraine — the deadliest month for civilians since April 2022.
Official confirmation required. A report is included only after confirmation by a Ukrainian regional administration, the State Emergency Service (DSNS), police or another public authority. A link may lead to reputable reporting that directly attributes the facts to that official source. Casualty figures are official and time-stamped.
Curated, not exhaustive. Reporting delays, safety restrictions and limited information from occupied territories mean that some attacks will not appear. A report can also be delayed until an official account is available.
Finished editions, coarse locations. This is not a live map: each edition covers a completed 24-hour window, and a report appears only after Ukrainian authorities have made it public themselves. Exact coordinates appear only if the authorities have disclosed a location; otherwise the map shows the district or city. Casualty figures are preliminary, time-stamped (“as of …”) and corrected as official updates arrive.
Overlapping official windows. An oblast’s 24-hour tally can cover a strike this site already reported on its own the previous morning, hours before that tally was published. Each card keeps the figure its official source stated, so an edition’s daily total is the sum of the official reports it contains and can overlap the edition before it. Multi-day totals on the map subtract the overlap, so every victim is counted once.
No money passes through the app. Every “Support” button is a direct external link to an established fund (UNITED24, Superhumans, Voices of Children and others), matched to the kind of recovery or relief work involved. These links support each fund’s broader work and are not earmarked for the people or locations in a specific report.
